Christmas Period Office Hours

The Parkinson's Victoria office will be closed over the Christmas period from 3pm Wednesday 24th December and will re-open at 9am Monday 5th January 2009.

New Resources Now Available:

Parkinson's information is now available in English and 10 other languages

A bi-lingual booklet, a series of Help Sheets, and a multi-lingual poster are now available in English, Arabic, Chinese (traditional), Croatian, Greek, Italian, Macedonian, Russian, Spanish, Turkish & Vietnamese.

Depression and Parkinson's
Parkinson's Victoria has collaborated with Beyond Blue to produce a free fact sheet and DVD resource.

Research Participation Opportunity - Parkinson's, Employment and Quality of Life

A study conducted by Swinburne University is currently seeking interested participants for a research project looking at the lived experience of Parkinson's, employment and related issues. Participants need to have a diagnosis of Parkinson's and still be in full or part-time employment. Interested participants will be asked to complete an annonymous, online questionnaire.

Possible side effects of medication

Parkinson's is a complex illness that in some instances may include behavioral or psychological symptoms as well as affecting movement. These feelings are related to the condition and may be exacerbated in some instances by the medications used to manage Parkinson's.
